Koomurri Day

On Monday 8th August, students at Guildford PS were treated to an incursion called Koomurri which explores the rich tradition of Aboriginal culture. Various learning experiences were presented throughout the day where students were able to take part in activities such as Smoking Ceremony & Welcome Song & Dance Show, Didgeridoo Show and Storytelling, Artefacts, Bush Survival, Aboriginal Face Painting, Aboriginal Song and Dance, Aboriginal Art (On Canvas), Boomerang Throwing, Farewell Concert with Student and Teacher participation. Students and teachers alike enjoyed the day immensely as they engaged and interacted with important cultural aspects of our nation's peoples.
